I sent back this poster as a draft and got a reply saying that they really liked it and had started to put it into an email. I didn't expect this but was pleased that they felt it would work for them. In all, I really enjoyed doing this project for a good cause and would definitely do it again in the future. I will also keep in touch with the group to see how they are going with their advertising and see if they need me for anything else.
Today I was sent an email from the Second Life Disability Group. They asked me if I would be able to design an email to send out to everyone. They were holding a weekend of events and wanted to advertise this. I thought about this for a while. I felt that an email would be a good way to advertise the event but if they were really serious about opening the group out to a wider audience, one that didn't know about Second Life, it might be an idea to design a full size poster that could be put up at community halls where disabled social groups might be held. This would really draw some attention to the group. I emailed this suggestion to the group and they were really interested and asked me to do a full size poster which could also be shrank down to fit on screen.
Today when exploring Second Life, I discovered more about the events feature and the ability to jump to an event that was going on. I decided to take a look at a meeting that was going on for disabled people. When I got there, I was intrigued to find many people, not just disabled ones, talking about many things, not just disabilities. I also noticed that many people belonged to a virtual disability group. They spoke about the opportunities that they could use Second Life to execute but felt it was a shame that Second Life was just thought of as a chat room. I said that I would be happy to help with any design work if they wanted to try and expand their group. They said that there was an event coming up soon which would benefit from advertising and they said that they would let me know the details soon.

Today there was a documentary on television about Second Life, the online virtual world. It was about how Second Life was so successful in creating a world space and people that it caused two people to fall in love. I found this really interesting because they felt that they could do everything inside Second Life that they could do in the real world. I joined Second Life and took a look around. It became apparent very fast that Second Life had all of the building, scripting, creating and networking tools necessary to do some pretty powerful things. Looking online I even found a live music concert. I am really interested in exploring the opportunities that this platform can provide.
